Jeep Liberty CRD

Update 8/6/2022 - Today the Jeep Liberty CRD left for a new home in Illinois. Goodbye, old steed!

Here is the Liberty setting at the Olive Garden in Muncie after I picked it up.

After a couple years of researching the CRD I bought one at Jeep Warehouse on February 17, 2006.

Anyone familiar with my Ford Superduty truck page knows I like to do some customizing to my vehicles. The Liberty is no exception. I'll be putting on stuff for the fire department and some general stuff. I'm not planning on big tires, although a small lift is a possibility.

Here are the options on the Liberty: (window sticker)

- 2.8L turbodiesel
- 5 speed automatic transmission - the same transmission used with the Hemi V-8's
- 22C package
- Trailer tow package
- Skidplate package - I got this mostly for the tow hooks
- Overhead console
- Power moonroof
- Remote start (installed at the dealer) - I decided to get a dealer installed remote start because of the security key the Liberty has and because I presumed a factory engineered remote start would have many features. My presumption was wrong. It does a fine job of starting the Jeep but that's all it does. The remote start I installed on my truck has a pitstop feature, turns on when the battery voltage is low, has many user adjustable settings, etc...you get the picture...and it cost 1/4 as much as the Jeep remote start.
